While living in Bozeman, MT, I developed a love and appreciation of plant based medicine that eventually led me to study herbs and acupuncture at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe. Upon graduation in 2002, my husband Mark and I returned to our childhood home of Hendersonville. After a year working at the Chinese Acupuncture Clinic in Asheville, I opened a practice in Hendersonville and have had the great honor of serving people in this community since 2004.
My interest in holistic medicine stems from a belief that our bodies have an amazing ability to heal given the right circumstances. I believe by addressing our emotional, physical and spiritual needs, we can lead healthier more vibrant lives. I use the modalities of acupuncture, cupping and Chinese herbal medicine to address the imbalances that prevent optimal health. By working in partnership with my patients, we can work to develop treatment plans that include nutritional and herbal medicine and lifestyle changes.
My husband Mark and I have been blessed with two wonderful children, Slade and Scarlett. We spend a lot of time outside with them hiking, biking and skiing. I have used Chinese medicine to treat the different illnesses they have faced and love teaching other parents natural ways to support their children.
I am passionate about the medicine I practice and truly enjoy caring for my patients. I emphasize self-care and hope to educate my patients on positive lifestyle choices and how those choices can impact their health.
